What are the implications for teaching and learning how

Examine one emerging trend, concept or technology related (even "loosely") to networking or information sharing. Research the topic and present a "White Paper" to the class via the discussion board. A White Paper is essentially an authoritative report or guide that addresses issues and/or offers solutions to problems. White papers are used to educate readers and help people make informed decisions. Thus, your paper should contains enough information to help us make a good decision about some new technology is we were going to recommend an institution look to adopt it. Answer the essential questions listed below:

WHAT is the technology or concept?

WHO is currently using it?

HOW does the technology actually work? (Note this doesn't have to be an EEEE level of detail, but a general description of the operations/technology).

Give an example or two of the topic in context. (these can be descriptions or links to resources).

WHAT are the implications for teaching and learning? How might this topic influence what schools or universities (or even businesses) do with instruction or training?

Are there any downsides? Is there any problematic barrier to adoption in school settings (e.g. cost, security, maintenance, etc.).

What does the future hold for this topic? What can you "predict" the lifespan and influence to be?

Bibliography. Cite your four to six research materials/resources in APA form (see here for the APA style guide if you are unfamiliar: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/ )

This needn't be too lengthy- just a good description, and answer the questions in enough detail so that the rest of us can investigate the topic ourselves and get a thorough understanding of the topic's application to educational settings.

A good example is located in module five (Location Aware Applications)

Some possible topics include (but are not restricted to):

Cloud Computing
GPS enabled learning devices
Augmented Reality
Embedded semi-intelligence
Consciousness sensors (input of user biofeedback into computer)
Distributed Learning
Voice Over IP
Social Networks in Schools
Networked Personal Learning Environments
Mobile Technology (devise and apps)
Open educational resources (OER)
Backchannel communication (with videoconferencing)
Next Generation Presentation Tools

Green Technology and/or new network implementations designed to reduce an institutions' "carbon footprint"

Also, revisit the interviews and see if there are ideas in those to mine.
