The administrative state of nature is a term used to describe the situation that would exist if there were no government or other authority to regulate the activities of individuals and organizations. In this state, individuals would be free to do as they please, without any regard for the rights or interests of others. Arguably this would lead to a chaotic and dangerous world, where people would be constantly at risk of being harmed or exploited. Fairfax & Russell (2014) discuss this concept briefly.
