In this case for analysis:

Start by exploring some websites or online annual reports for some Fortune 500 companies (hint: see p.152-153 of text for companies).

Pay particular attention to the mission statements of the companies as well as what information you can gather from the website or annual report about training and development at the company.

Find an example of two of the following items:

• A company that describes a training and development policy that supports the mission statement.

• A company that describes a training and development policy that seems to neither support nor be in conflict with the mission statement.

• A company that describes a training and development policy that conflicts with the mission statement.

Part 1: As a team, write ONE 4 page paper (not counting the cover page and reference page) that describes your findings from above and addresses the following questions:

• What are the likely results of a training and development policy that supports the company mission? Make this response specific to the company you chose above.

• What are the likely results of a training and development policy that does not support, or even conflicts with, the company mission? Make this response specific to the company you chose above.

• Include 3 scholarly sources, not counting the textbook, and use APA format.

Part 2: Create a 4+ slide PowerPoint presentation with a five to seven minute audio (convert to video) that presents the material from the paper.

Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:

1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.

2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
