Problem
You have been regularly working with and observing a group of students in year 5. They are all the same age. Of the six students in the group, five appear to be developing the general cognitive skills appropriate for their age group and applying them across the learning domains. However, you feel that one of the students, who appears to be confident and has good communication skills is having issues related to remembering and applying previous learning. The student makes rash decisions without considering consequences and does not seem to be capable of recalling or applying the procedures they have been taught for thinking before acting.
What action will you take? Consider the teacher's and the school's requirements and the way in which the information should be reported to the teacher.
