We did an experiment in class today heating a metal object

We did an experiment in class today heating a metal object over a bunsen burner, submerging it in water and recording the temperature to see what the heat flow was. A post-lab question was to calculate the initial temperature of the metal which is the same as the temperature of the flame. If the initial temperature of water was 22.3 degrees celsius and final temperature of the water was 40.3 degrees celsius and the mass of the metal object was 293.1 g how do I find the initial temperature of the metal?
