We are a strong part of the healthcare system we the nurses

So I was just sitting here thinking about the changes coming with the new administration entering the white house and the probability of a new health care system when he takes office and begins to change things as he says he will. No this is not a forum to discuss whether or not we like the new administration, this is an opportunity to talk about what is broken still in the healthcare system and open a discussion to what we, the Nurses, can do to help. The question that I'm posing is this.... With the fact that Trump says that he will reform PPACA what changes do you, as a practicing Nurse, think are important for your patient population? I'm thinking of things like the fact that every insurance company in the country has refused to insure anyone who is insured under Obama Care because of monetary losses. Now there is a law that says they must insure those participants but if they continue to loose money like they have been they will be out of business. One of them reported a billion dollar loss last year if I remember correctly. Now don't get me wrong I love the ideals of Obama Care insure everyone, get healthcare for everyone, improve the health of the nation.... But, we have to look at what is not working and be a part of the solution to the problem. I am a firm believer that if you do not try to be a part of the solution you should not complain about the problems. We are a strong part of the healthcare system, we the Nurses and when we unite and begin to work on the issues wonderful things will happen.
