Two identical pieces of rope 10 m long have mass per unit

Two identical pieces of rope, 10 m long, have mass per unit length, μ = 0.10 kg/m. One of the two is soaked in water and absorbs an additional 1.0 kgof mass. The two ropes are then attached together and stretched horizontally under a tension of 200 N. (a) How long will it take for a single wave pulse to travel the 20m length of the two ropes? ( neglect any seepage of water from one rope to the other) b) If we want to have the pulse spend equal amounts of time on wet and dry ropes, how much rope must we cut off, and at which end ?
