Two balls of identical mass m are connected by a 084 meter

Two balls of identical mass m are connected by a 0.84 meter long cord and located on a smooth frictionless table 1.37 meter high. Initially, one ball (C) is near the table's edge while the other ball (D) is 0.84 meter away. Ball (C) is gently nudged over the edge, and as it falls it pulls the other ball (D) off the table. After that, both balls fall down at the similar velocity as they are connected by the cord. Note that because of the cord's tension, you cannot use free-fall formula for the individual balls.

Suppose no friction, no air resistance, and no rotational motion of the balls (once off the table, they fall straight down without revolving around each other on the cord); g =9.8m/s2.

Find the balls speed when the first ball hits the floor?

Answer in units of m/s.
