Traditional mentorship program


Assignment Task: Many companies have internal "mentorship programs" intended to develop and engage employees. Many times, the mentor is not a direct manager or leader in the same reporting structure / department.

What are the benefits of having such a program? What are the disadvantages? What can mentors teach or show employees that they would not typically learn in the course of their day to day work?
