Activity Instruction

Throughout a project, it is important to keep your stakeholders apprised of your work to date and successes and challenges you encounter along the way. This assignment is designed to help keep your instructor informed of your capstone progress and provide you an opportunity to receive feedback on your project. For this assignment, complete the following:

Based on the project summary you submitted in Unit 1, and on the progress you have made in the last week, prepare a brief report of the status of your project. Include the following items:

Introduction: In one paragraph, restate your chosen company and project overview.

Work completed: Tasks and milestones you have completed to date.

Work missed: Any work you intended to complete but did not accomplish.

Work to complete: Tasks and milestones that must be completed next week. Include any corrective action planned for items that were missed or are behind schedule.

Conclusion: Wrap the report up in a couple of sentences, stating your overall progress and affirming that you are on track or have a plan for catching up.

Please ensure that your progress report is a PAPER. It should have an introduction where you remind me what your project is and what the deliverable is, body sections that include what you have completed, what is left to complete, and a conclusion that tells if you are on schedule - or, if you are behind, your plan for catching up. I want subheadings on these.

OR, you may write in memo form, in a very organized, clear way. In other words, informative content and good presentation on these is a must. Progress reports should be 1-2 pages - NO MORE. These are NOT rough drafts.

To be clear, your progress reports need the following:

1. Good format in either paper or memo format.

2. An introduction and conclusion

3. Minimum headings including: Work Completed, Work Remaining

4. A work missed section, if you missed work, or a clear note in the conclusion or work completed section that says you didn't fall behind or miss anything.

5. 1-2 pages in length, no more!

6. Outline. Please including an updated outline of your paper so that I can be reminded of what your paper is about. This does NOT count towards your page count. I just want to see it each time. If it has not changed each time that's fine; it doesn't have to change.

7. DO NOT put questions to me inside the progress report. This would not be appropriate if you were handing your boss or client a written report.

REMINDER, IMPORTANT: You must follow this progress report format. I want SUBHEADINGS that include Introduction, work completed, work remaining, work missed (if you missed work), and conclusion.
