Think about the special peer relationships you have within

Take a closer look at the peer and co-worker relationships in your organization. If you do not have enough information to draw from in your current organization, you may extract examples from another work or organizational experience (job, a class, fraternity/sorority, church, etc.).

1. Think about the “special peer”* relationships you have within your organization or have had in a previous organization or work experience. According to the description of special peer* (high levels of emotional support, trust, self-disclosure, and intimacy), give detailed examples of why this relationship falls in the special peer* category.

2. Look carefully at the four factors that allow organizational peer relationships to shift into something more personal: proxemics, similarity, relational balance, and personal needs. Taking the same special peer* relationship you mentioned in the first category, briefly discuss all four elements and how each may or may not have helped you move the relationship from organizational peer to special peer.
