Discussion 1

There are many methods of dissemination, both internal and external that help reinforce, support and develop the content that is being portrayed or presented. The common methods used would be so present at meetings and conferences, publishing information in a local paper, creating tool kits and materials for the local communities and even pamphlets and flyers to name a few.

For the change proposal I am making about childhood obesity, these methods of dissemination would greatly help project, publicize and flourish the effect I can have on the community and possibly make some time of change and difference. The internal method I think would be the schools, the doctors' offices and even the hospitals.

The external methods that would be a large influence to this change and EBP would be the CDC and even the WHO. They keep track of all the data presented by the physicians for growth and weight statistics. It is extremely important to report to both of these groups as they are the key to keeping up with rising and decreasing averages of cases of obesity presented in the communities and worldwide.

When communicating with the CDC and more elite and national organizations your information and data needs to be well presented and supported by strictly facts. The information being published to the local communities and schools and physicians' offices for parents, needs to be un understandable terms, clearly written and not in depth as not everyone in the communities are at the same learning levels as one another.

Discussion 2

Involving external and internal method for the dissemination of the EBP project results will lead to increase awareness of the research and maximize the impact that would improve the health outcomes. For example, I would involve the patients and health care providers as internal method to communicate of research results of fall prevention program or using effective fall interventions to prevent falls in hospitals. I would also involve the local community members to share the information and how to improve the fall prevention program in our community.

The reason to discuss the results with both groups because this is a way to provide better understanding of the barriers as well as using communication strategies such as communication designed for an individual based information or based on sub group members, and delivering the message as story (Effective Health Care Program, 2012). The government agencies and institutions, advocacy groups, media organizations, researchers, and other interested stakeholders can all carry out communication activities and use different technique, so the audience can understand better (Effective Health Care Program, 2012).

My communication strategies would help to change each group because I would discuss the goals and research project with audience and use the methods will be the most effective to prevent falls as well as budget resources and effectiveness of plan. I also think that sharing the value and findings to each group would help to provide effective care and underlines the valuable contribution clinicians make to high quality care delivery (Walsh, 2010).
