The torsion system illustrated in figure consists of two

Question: The torsion system illustrated in Figure consists of two shafts that are mounted in bearings such that the shafts can freely rotate. The three disks have mass and inertia properties, namely, m1, Ig1, m2, Ig2, and m3, Ig3, respectively.

Tasks: (a) Use kθ1 and kθ2 to define the shaft's torsional stiffnesses. (You are not required to calculate the torsional stiffness coefficients.) Draw freebody diagrams.

(b) Use the free-body diagrams to derive the equations of motion.

(c) Put the matrix EOM into conventional matrix format for vibration analysis
