The performance instrumentation states on how to efficiently gather information about the computation of the parallel computer. The process of instrumentation mainly attempts to capture information about the applications by adding some type of instrument like a code or a procedure or a function etc. in to the source code of the program or may be at the time of implementation. The main effect of such instrumentation is generation of some useful data for performance tools. Sometimes, performance instrumentation causes certain problems called as intrusion problems.
