Problem 1: The Halle piece paints a portrait of who uses formal vs. informal care. Characterize informal care users based on 2 characteristics (e.g., child age, language, work status, etc.)-- for each, say in a few words WHY you think those families are choosing informal care.
Problem 2: Burchinal suggests that quality is made up of 3 or 4 features (depending on how you divide one of them (or not))-- name them (list is fine).
Problem 3: Summarize Whitehurst's argument. Do you think we should continue to focus on ECE outcomes, or do you think we should have a different approach in defining what "good" ECE is?
