Stereotype
The tendency to judge someone is based on the perception of the group to which that person belongs. For example I might stereotype him as a "jock" if I know a person is athletic. This would then influence how I approach or interact with and manage that person. Stereotypes are one of various shortcuts that we use when evaluating other people and may or may not be accurate.
