Solve question about gas behaviour

A 4 cm diameter vertical cylinder is sealed at the top by a frictionless piston. The piston is 25 cm above the bottom of the cylinder. It is filled with Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The gas begins at exactly one atmosphere of pressure, and the temperature starts as 10 ºC.

(a) What is the total number of molecules of gas in the cylinder?

(b) What is the total mass of all the gas inside the cylinder?

(c) What is the number density of the gas in the cylinder?

The length of the cylinder is changed to 100 cm (since one end is a piston), while the pressure remains constant.

(d) What is the new temperature of the gas in the cylinder?

(e) Was the work done on the gas positive, negative, or zero? How do you know? Explain clearly, using equations as appropriate.

The length of the cylinder is returned to 25 cm, while the temperature remains constant.

(f) What is the new pressure of the gas in the cylinder?

(g) Draw the full series of processes on a pV diagram (starting from the initial conditions described above, through the state described for parts (d) and (e), and the final state described immediately above). Be sure to label both axes clearly, with appropriate numbers
