At least two specific example of how literature and poetry can provide a connection between parents and their children at a time when children are exploring greater independence from their families.
Select one poem or book that could provide a shared experience at home. As a librarian or educator, describe in detail how you would encourage the use of the themes in your chosen text to help children and their families explore the complex socio-emotional needs of this age group.
