Assignment:

If you are doing a team project as part of your class or for a project at work, use Project 2013 to create a detailed file describing the work you plan to do for the project.

a. Create a detailed WBS, including several milestones, estimate task durations, link tasks, add tasks to the timeline, and enter resources and costs, assign resources, and so on. Save your file as a baseline and print it out send it to your instructor, as desired.

b. Track your progress on your team project by entering actual cost and schedule information. Create a new baseline file if there have been a lot of changes. View earned value information when you are halfway through the project or course. Continue tracking your progress until the project or course is finished. Print or submit your Gantt chart. Project Summary report, Earned Value table, and relevant information to your instructor.

c. Write a two to three-page report describing your experience. What did you learn about Project 2013 from this exercise? How do you think Project 2013 helps in managing a project? You may also want to interview people who use Project 2013 for their experiences and suggestions.
