Case Scenario:
Explaining complex concepts to policymakers is often a difficult task. Typically, you do not have their attention for very long and have to make your point quickly and as simply as possible. Think about a health issue in your own community. You are tasked with addressing this issue with policymakers in your community in three minutes or less. You must also create a written brief to submit along with your presentation.
Instructions:
Research a community health issue and perform the following:
1. Create 3-5 talking points that are the most important for the public health issue you have chosen. In a Word document, write at least one paragraph for each talking point explaining why they are the most important reasons to address this health issue. Cite and reference at least three resources.
2. Create a recording to present your talking points in three minutes or less. You may not have time to just read what you wrote. You may need to summarize but be convincing.
