Related to the Crusades, the Golden Gate leading into Jerusalem where the Jewish Messiah is expected to return (and where Jesus Christ entered the city for the last time) was walled up by Arab conquerors in 810 CE. Secondly, the sacred Jewish temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman army in 70 CE and on that same spot, the Dome of the Rock where Muslims say Muhammad accented to heaven was finished by Arabs in 691 CE. How has this all affected the political, military and religious situation in Israel now? What should be done about the situation?
