Random number generators

Games are built around random number generators. Given any circumstance, there is always a defined set of possible outcomes. Some are more likely than others. This is what we try to feed to the computer so that it can make an "intelligent" decision. However, we as humans are capable of making irrational decisions and making decisions on undefined factors. This is why games against human players are more exciting than logic-fed computers. Applying principles of probability, how can we improve random number generators and make them more unpredictable and thus more realistic? Share your thoughts and possible scenarios.
