Provide students with differing educational goals-resources

Problem: Federal officials should exercise more power to require greater uniformity among the states. While some policies should remain the sole responsibility of the state governments, such as local speed limits, it is important to further equalize policies within the education system. It could be beneficial for the federal government to regulate services for students with disabilities or set standards for assessments. These aspects of education are currently delegated to each independent state. As a result, they can widely vary from state to state and provide students with differing educational goals and resources. Unifying these policies could offer students equal opportunities and experiences in public schools.
