Problem related to self-management strategies/ interventions

Assignment task:

This question is based on behavior interventions.

You have a problem with biting your fingernails. You bite your nails whenever you see the white part of the nail that extends out at the end of the nail. Once you bite the white part off, you typically don't bite again until the nail grows and more white parts show. However, you also bite the nail when it is uneven or there is a rough edge from previous biting. The biting most often occurs when you are watching TV or a movie, during lectures, or when you are studying. Use these four self-management strategies/ interventions to stop the nail biting: Manipulating motivating operation (MO). Manipulating the discriminative stimulus (SD). Self-monitoring Behaviour contract For each self-management strategy, answer the following questions in a small paragraph or point form?

1. Describe each strategy being used and how you would use it?

2. What would the strategy look like in this example and describe it? Give examples?

3. Explain why each strategy is used?
