Problem related to managing employee performance


Problem:

My greatest takeaway that I can use in my career is from Chapter 10: Managing Employee Performance. I found the topic on 'What influences performance' so helpful, not because I have troublesome employees, but because I wanted to learn how to influence my team to be their best. I've learned that discipline is a positive process that can correct undesirable behavior by helping an employee meet performance expectations, and that it requires documentation of past employee actions preventing motivational issues for other employees and loss of productivity. I now understand that for my bakery to have an effective discipline process, the rules and policies need to be in place and communicated so all employees know the expectations. I have started to implement these guidelines and I have seen improvement already.
