Met with youth for session who appeared angry and frustrated after arguing with a peer, while in an argument her roommate reported that Sophia was utilizing a smart watch to chat with people and take inappropriate pictures. When questioned about the watch Sophia was visibly frustrated she reported that Ms. Robin purchased the watch for her while on a pass. Sophia reported that she took a picture just to see how good the camera was, it was stressed to Sophia the importance of taking accountability even in moments where she doesn't want to. Sophia was advised that I would be following up with Ms. Robin in regards to the watch situation, Sophia continued to verbalize that she couldn't understand why I was making a big "Deal" about it. It was explained to her that it is not appropriate for a youth her age (12) to take pictures of themselves in panties and a bra. we discussed the dangers surrounding if someone were to get access to those pictures. Sophia continues to be make excuses as to why she engaged in this behavior taking no accountability for her poor decision making. We will continue to work on accountability and communicating effectively, Sophia began to shut down in session as she does not like to process incidents in which she is involved in.
