Problem on the indigenous supply chain event

Problem:

The Indigenous Supply Chain event was full of knowledge, and more importantly, it became an avenue for awareness. Most of us didn't have any idea about the situation happening in the Northern regions of Canada when it comes to food security. Having guest speakers who have first-hand experiences on the current circumstances brings light and gave us realizations. Some of the key takeaways that I grasped during the event were the ongoing challenge in facing the unusual ice road problems due to climate change, the lack of infrastructure which needs the support from the government, and the consistent increase in the price of fuel which affects the cost and operation of food distribution. The lack of infrastructure in the Northern areas erode the chance to further extend the help to indigenous communities w ith efficiency and consistency. The problem with the absence of ice roads is out of control because of its nature, and the rise in fuel cost can be minimized if there is enough infrastructure to make transportation easier. Depending on air transport is expensive, so looking at the long-term solutions to combat the problems being faced by remote areas must be the top priority.
