Problem:
Respond to: I will be discussing security screening for this week's discussion post. Security screening conducted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) improves safety and security for the aviation industry. The TSA starts its screening process prior to arriving at the airport. TSA improves security by implementing threat detection and prevention techniques. These techniques consist of intelligence gathering and continuous screening. At the airport, travelers will go through baggage screening as well as pat-down and millimeter wave screening (Security screening: Transportation Security Administration). These security implementations ensure the safety of passengers traveling. The TSA is also developing next-generation technologies to help raise the baseline for aviation security. The emerging technology consists of Automated Screening Lanes, biometrics technology, computed tomography and credential authentication. The TSA currently uses identification processes such as real ID and digital identity to positively identify its passengers. There are some similarities between the TSA's security screening implementation and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) global aviation security plan. The GASeP and TSA both aim to maintain a strong and effective security culture. Both entities strive to improve technological resources and foster innovation. Both agencies look to adapt to future emerging threats. Need Assignment Help?
