It is important for all team members to contribute to the conversation in the IEP meeting. A member that often is overlooked to speak in these meetings is the student. It is important for the student to speak as they need to become their own advocate. How do you prepare a student to become comfortable speaking in front of an intimidating audience? Based on the grade level you are wishing to teach, provide age-appropriate strategies to prepare the student for the IEP meeting.
