Population Growth - Population Parameters and Regulation
The size of a population depends upon the balance between natality and immigration through which individuals are added to a population and mortality and emigration which remove them. If natality and immigration exceed mortality and emigration, population will grow; if these are equal population will remain same size, i.e. static and if death and emigration exceed population will decrease.
