PLANNING FOR EVALUATION:

The need for clearly defined objectives for the evaluation process, analysis of  the need for it, systematic measures for accomplishing its purpose and for judging the merit of evaluation scheme itself, are all important. Evaluation is a process which involves every member of the staff and the total range of programme, from the individual service visit to the health services of  the country.  Basic to specific planning for evaluation is  the creation of an evaluative climate -  the persistent direct and indirect reiteration of  the question, "what difference did  this  service make?" and "how well did we do?" The supervisor or manager should take the responsibility for evaluation of services for which he is responsible. Rut every staff member and every service team member should be equally concerned with evaluation at their own ,level.
