Perspective of writing and why that is important

Paper details:

Writing is not a natural trait or behavior, it is a skill that is learned or developed over time. As such, struggles or misunderstandings can, and often do, occur when learning how to write. These struggles with language can be difficult, but they can also be rewarding. Additionally, these experiences can be, and often are, formative, meaning they shape us in some way. For this essay you will write a narrative discussing an experience that has shaped you’re identity as a writer.

A narrative is a story or an account of events or experiences. A narrator is the person who tells a story - a story about life, love, learning, etc. When telling a story, writers convey an event and the significance or importance of that event to their readers. For this essay, you will be expected to tell a story about a personal experience that shaped the way you think of writing and the way you think of yourself as a writer; you will also need to reflect on the significance of that experience.

In this essay you will be expected to tell a story about an experience—either good or bad—that has shaped the way you view yourself as a writer. This experience can be from any point of time in your life, from the first time you wrote the alphabet to the most recent experience you have had with writing, but this experience needs to be yours.

You will be expected to tell a story about your experience with writing that explains its significance, which should focus on how that experience has shaped your perspective of writing and why that is important.
