o Confirm precisely who is in the consulting team.
o Read the small print in the contract.
o If you don't trust the consultant, don't buy.
o Before saying yes, be clear about what happens when they finish.
o Plan check points in the engagement.
o Prepare for the consultants' arrival.
o Keep an eye on who the consultants are talking to within your organization.
o Pay for work, not for sales activity.
