No precipitate forms when (NH4)2S is added to the buffer solution. Nevertheless, a yellow precipitate forms when K2CrO4 is added to a solution of the salt that is acidified with HC2H3O2 and the precipitate dissolves in concentrated HCL while AgNO3 is added to a solution of the salt that is acidified with HNO3, a white precipitate forms.
