When you think of the population in this country that goes without food some or most of the time, what group comes to mind?
National Geographic published an article in the August 2014 issue entitled The New Face of Hunger. According to McMillan (2014), "In the United States more than half of hungry households are white, and two-thirds of those with children have at least one working adult--typically in a full-time job" (pg. 73). Does this conflict with the common stereotype or myth of who is hungry in the U.S.? Explain.
