NADH Passes it's electrons on to oxygen through a long chain of electron carriers. How much free energy (in kj/mol) can in principle be obtained form this process under standard conditions (pH7) for each mole of oxygen that is reduced to water? The overall reaction can be summarized as follows:

2 NADH + 2 H+ + O2 ---> 2 NAD+ + 2 H2O
