Mobility issues due to the onset of parkinsons disease

Problem: Sharon has been living with her daughter Marianne since her husband passed away in 2014. It has become more difficult for Marianne to care for her mother in the past 12 months. Sharon is displaying some anxiety and anger due to the frustration. Sharon has mobility issues due to the onset of Parkinson's Disease and a failed hip replacement operation after a bad fall. Her family felt it was time for Sharon to go into full-time care. Sharon's frustration and anger manifest themselves in verbal aggression towards herself and others. Sharon is an elderly lady and is not very mobile. She has had a bad week, starting on Monday with an occupational therapy session requiring her to use a walking frame that caused discomfort and perceived embarrassment in front of others. The only others present were the usual team of Jonothan, the OT, and you, the Personal Care Worker. Unusually Sharon started swearing and refused to participate any more. When asked, Sharon said she wasn't in any pain and didn't want to talk. On Monday night at dinner, she expressed her excitement to everyone in earshot about going to the annual flower show the next day. However, on Tuesday morning, Sharon refused to get on the bus and made an awful scene, swearing, yelling, and deriding fellow residents. As Sharon was being escorted back to her room, she tried to hit those who came near her and verbally abused anyone who asked what was upsetting her. After lunch the same day, when Sharon returned to her room, she became very frustrated that she couldn't find her watch. When you heard the commotion and went to assist, Sharon started swearing again and threw a vase full of flowers and water at you. Fortunately, you moved out of the way in time, and no-one was injured. The vase shattered on the floor, which caused Sharon to become even more upset as the vase was a present from her granddaughter. You found the watch on the floor between the bedside drawers, where it is usually kept, and the bed. The next day at the OT session, Sharon commented that she wasn't happy full-length mirrors were in the room. Sharon threw her water bottle at her reflection and cracked the mirror. Sharon doesn't have a full-length mirror in her suite
