How to explain messenger abbreviations to a 19th century reader
Project instructions:
This is an IB english language task that consists of two parts. The first part of about 300 words is a rationale of what will be presented later. In this case, how the author will develop a letter to be read by a 19th century reader with an explanation of the english abbreviations used in the 21st century messaging system. Please include how the research was made, why specific sources were used and what is the intent of the task itself. How language has evolved and the necessity or not of formal language.
The second part is the letter itself, directed to a 19th century reader and should have about 700 words.
