Mediocrity principle:
The principle that there is nothing specifically interesting regarding our place in space or time, or about ourselves. This principle possibly first made its real appearance in the scientific community while Shapley determined that the globular clusters center round the center of the Galaxy, not around the solar system. The principle can be assumed a stronger form of the uniformity principle; rather than no place being considerably different than any other, the mediocrity principle mention that, indeed, where you are is not any more special than any other.
