Cultural representation in (social media This week we learned about the various ways that media influences our beliefs about other groups through representation. For a large segment of us, social media and pop culture constitute the principal way that we learn about others. Unfortunately, however, media representations are often rife with stereotypes. Find an image of how one cultural group is negatively depicted and one image of how the same cultural group is positively depicted in our society (in the movies, on TV, in the news), and post the example on this discussion board. Do not just provide a link or describe it. You must embed the images and share your thoughts on what messages your example sends about individuals in this cultural group. What is correct or incorrect about what is presented in your example? Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research.
