A 2,500-word report to outlining a chosen strategy to attempt to gain competitive advantage through managing cultural diversity in an hotel organisation.

Introduction:

- Background of cultural diversity
- reason of cultural diversity (globalization? People in certain group tend to behave similar? )
- purpose of this study (focus on how cultural diversity helps hotel chain gain advantages)
- state that you choose disney and why did you choose it as a case study
- structure of the report (brief summary of each part in this report)
 
Methodology:

- state that this study use secondary research
- advantages/benefits of using secondary research
- what books did you mainly use and apply to this report? (including the main definitions, author’s opinion)
- state that you also use information from internet
- main case study: final analysis

Literature review:

- short introduction about what you want to do in this part
- definitions of culture and the trends nowadays
- definitions of cultural diversity and how it works in hospitality workforce
- advantages of managing cultural diversity in workforce
- disadvantages and challenges of cultural diversity in workforce
- HOFSEDE’S THEORY: definitions, opinions from different authors, state what did it used to analysis and evaluate
- ICEBERG THOERY: same as above

Findings and analysis: I will attach case studies about disney later and feel free to find more information on your own.

- Short introduction about the case (better if you only focus on one situation, for example: what is happening in Disney France?)

- Find out what are the challenges and problems in this case(it has to be related to cultural diversity) and classify them into 5 dimension (means apply the Hofsede’s theory)

- Explain how they apply their strategy to manage cultural diversity (focus on 5 dimensions of Hofsede’s theory)

- Evaluate their best practices of cultural diversity, why and where did they do right? (you might apply iceberg theory here)

- what are the competitive advantages through managing cultural diversity in an organization

Recommendation:

Focus on 1 of the 5 dimensions. Base on your evaluation in findings and evaluation, which one did not do well? Provide strategy to solve it.

Conclusion:

- Discussion on the future of cultural diversity. (positions, what is important, trends etc.)

- Conclude what should manager do to manage cultural diversity in hospitality industry

- how should hotel chains face cultural diversity in their workforce

- What and how does it make contribution to hospitality
