1. We've learned a lot about pursuing human services from a strengths-based perspective. What natural-born strengths did Grace have and how did that serve her despite the adversity she faced? Draw from what we have learned and even in your strengths-based assignment earlier this semester.

2. This book is largely based on showing the power of hope and resiliency despite the fact that the children featured in this book were living in severe poverty and social chaos. What factors have we touched upon in assigned readings, discussion posts and exercises that explain why children like Grace do not receive the same opportunities (i.e. education)?
