In this activity, you will learn to apply the Systems Thinking Skills through the use of CLD in analyzing environmental problems like the ones that resulted in the closure of our famous white beach, Boracay.
Direction:
I. After reading the article, construct a simple CLD (Causal-Loop Diagram), with more than one loop regarding the topic by following this step-by-step process:
1. List down the possible factor influencing climate change;
2. Identify these variables, whether they are independent, dependent, or intervening;
3. Try to establish relationships between these variables through the use of causal loops;
4. Identify the polarity (positive, negative) and the behavior (reinforcing, balancing) found in each loops
II. You may use any drawing tool or you may directly draw on a sheet of paper, take a photo of it and place the photo on a word document.
III. Include a brief explanation/narrative for your CLD below your illustration/photo explaining the reasons for the closure of Boracay and how it might be saved.
