Khp is an acid that is monoprotic and hardly hygroscopic

Carbon dioxide free water was not used for diluting the KHP, and was not used for making the sodium hydroxide solution.
a. What effect, if any would the carbon dioxide impurity in the water have on the results? Explain
b. What effect, if any would the carbon dioxide contaminant in the preparation of the sodium hydroxide solution have on the results? Explain

KHP is an acid that is monoprotic and hardly hygroscopic. When carbon dioxide reacts with NaOH it produces sodium carbonate. I kind of understand how to do part b but i really don't understand how to do part a.
