Ive never heard of any other examples of international

I’ve never heard of any other examples of international gaffes. I never evener heard of the example that was given about Braniff Airlines. But I did find some examples such as, Kentucky fried chicken entering the Chinese market. Their slogan "finger likin good" translated to "eat your fingers off" and In Italy a soft drink brand named "Schweppes Tonic water" translated to "Schweppes Toilet water"

Some advice I would give to a manufacturer from another country is to look at the translations of your product and properly translate them into English. Because translation seems to be the number one problem with manufactures when moving into and international market.

I would think about what my product was saying, such as the name and the slogan. And I would first see if it means the same thing in another language. If not then I will take the necessary steps to make sure the translation Is logical and says what I intended for it to say. Do you agree or disagree and why?
