PAGE 2: TITLE PAGE
The title should be a concise statement of the main topic, and it should describe the objective(s) and key element(s) of the Academic Writing. A good title should be fully explanatory when it stands alone. Avoid words that serve no useful purpose. Do not use abbreviations in the title; spell out all terms/acronyms. The title should be no longer than 12-15 words. Refer to Appendix B for standard template.

PAGE 3: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Acknowledge the people who have helped students in conducting the research paper. This will be student's appreciation in completion of internship, academic writing and achieving BBA in KIC.

PAGE 4: ABSTRACT
Abstract should be written last. The abstract is a brief, comprehensive summary of the contents of the Academic Writing that the students have prepared. It allows the reader to attain a quick overview of the content and scope of students' project. A good abstract is: (a) accurate, (b) self-contained, (c) concise and specific, (d) non-evaluative, and (e) coherent and readable. An appropriate length for the abstract is between 75-150 words, depending on the nature and complexity of the work. Refer to any academic journal for examples of an abstract. Refer to Appendix C for sample.

1.0

1.1 Introduction
A good Introduction leaves the reader with a clear picture of what will be done and why. The aim of importance of the introduction is to justify your problem.

1.2 Selecting a Problem and Problem statement
Although selecting a research problem is one of the most difficult steps for a student in the research process, it is unfortunately one for which the least guidance can be given. Problem selection is not subject to the same degree of technical rules or requirements as are research design, measurement, or statistics; fortunately, however, some guide lines can be offered. A problem statement must have the following characteristics:

1. It should ask about a relationship between two or more variables.
2. It should be clearly and unambiguously, usually in question form.
3. It should be testable by empirical methods; that is, it should be possible to collect data to answer the questions asked.
4. It should not represent a moral or ethical position.
5. It must be Applicable to be converted to a question
6. Must be obvious and understandable
7. Must concise and precise
8. Must be without any grammatical and typos mistakes
9. Variables can be measures
10. It must show the Geographical location of the study
11. It must show the community of the study

1.3 Problem : Definition, statement.
- The easiest way to define the research problem is convert the research title to a question.
- This will be the main question for the study; and from this core question will have sub - questions.

1.4 Purpose/Objective of the Research Study
Objectives of project, why it is being done, why it is important or relevant, and its contribution to the
company. The main goal of any study is "To Answer the main question of the research ".

1.5 Study significant (Target Audience)
Who will be the beneficiaries/ consumers of students' research project

1.6 Constructing Hypothesis or research questions
Once a Problem has been identified, the researcher often employs the logical processes of deduction and induction to formulate an expectation of the outcome of the study. That is, he or she conjectures or hypothesize about the relationship between the concepts identified in the problem. OR the researcher can employ a sub-questions crafted from the main problem question.

1.7 Identifying and labeling Variables
The researcher must identify and label the variables both in the hypothesis and elsewhere in the study.
Identifying Variables have two levels: Conceptual Level and Operational level.

Since research is composed of a series of operations, it is necessary to convert variables from an abstract or conceptual form manipulation to an operational form. Operationalizing variables means stating them in an observable and measurable form, making them available for, control, and examination.

1.8 Limitation and boundaries

1.9 Arrangement and Approach of Study
The intended research strategy is described here. Students will write about how they are going to conduct the study and how students intend to resolve the problem/issues. As applicable, describe the delivery format, methods, scope and sequence for all the elements in the project. Again, as concisely as possible (i.e., one paragraph)

PROJECT PROPOSAL & PLANNING
Since this is applied research writing, students will use this phase to provide a detailed description of their target audience, their project's structure, the assessment plan for the project, and how these relate to the objective of the study. The headings should be:

2.1 Methodology of Research
2.1. 1 Explain what method will be used (questionnaires, surveys, interview or literature review).

2.1.2 Discuss methodology and research model used for analysis and why they are chosen. Student use any one relevant methodology or model.

2.2 Corporate Description
The discussion should cover:
2.2.1 The organization's activities,
2.2,2 Strategic Management: Corporate Strategy (vision, mission, objectives, top management's/leadership's role, Organizational Chart- staff names & positions, including
student's position); Business and functional strategies 2.2.3 Current projects undertaking
2.2.2 Industry Analysis

Discuss the position of the company with related to its business activities within the industry. Within context of globalization and UAE economy, discuss the current development of the industry. Conduct an environmental scanning (Risk analysis, Competitive Analysis or Porters 5 Forces Model.)

3.0 PHASE THREE - RESEARCH RESULT AND DATA ANALYSIS
Since students have developed an applied research project, Phase 3 is the place for student to describe more details and insert the completed piece of work. The supporting materials, like questionnaires etc., should be placed in the appendix.

3.1 Organizational Analysis
The students should find some facts about the organization in relation to their respective major. Trainee students have to do the mandatory analysis part. 3.2 Data Analysis

After a brief about what this phase is about the, the sub-headings should be about: 3.2.1 Survey Sampling (Not required from Trainee Students):
a. Describe again what is the problem statement and project details to relate with the overall research that has been done.
b. A sample is a group of units selected from a larger group (the population). By studying the sample it is hoped to draw valid conclusions about the larger group. Students must ensure that the survey sample of selected respondents should be representative of the general population. In this part it is important that students to carefully and completely define the population, including a description of the members to be included before collecting the sample and how the sample were selected.
c. A summary of survey sampling (eg. in table form) to be included. This should include choice of sampling criteria.

3.2.2 Qualitative & Quantitative Data To Be Collected (Not required from Trainee
Students):
a. Students to define Qualitative & Quantitative Data (referencing is necessary) and
describe which type of data do they intend to collect.
- Qualitative research involves analysis of data such as words (e.g., from interviews), pictures (e.g., video), or objects (e.g., an artifact) or report.
n Quantitative research involves analysis of numerical data.
b. Survey plan and choice of the data-collection method (method of administration) must be explained.
c. Students must also show the questionnaire design.

3.3.3 Tables, Charts, Histogram and Pareto Analysis:
a. Data Collection and Analysis' Tools are: Surveys, Tables, Check Sheets and Charts. Charts include: Control Charts, Histogram, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, Pareto Analysis, Scatter Diagram, Stratification, and Flow Chart.
b. Students must be able to present all the results or findings that were collected. The format should follow:-

i. First, each variable (in sequence to the questionnaire design) to be shown in table or Check Sheet.
ii. Next, is to translate the table or Check Sheet into Charts: Control Charts, Histogram, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, Pareto Analysis, Scatter Diagram, Stratification, and Flow Chart; whichever is suitable; to see the shape of the data's distribution and to communicate the distribution of data quickly and easily to others.
iii. Last, is to analyze the charts whether they meet the objectives of the study or there are other findings that were resulted from the survey conducted. Students must be able to convey their thoughts and express them when analyzing these charts. The analysis should be discussed according to the questionnaire design. This analysis may also include: there is a process that can meet the customer's requirements, or what the output from a supplier's process looks like or whether a process change has occurred from one time period to another and to determine whether the outputs of two or more processes are different.

4.0 PHASE FOUR - DISCUSSION & RESEARCH FINDINGS

In this phase the student should explain the result of the research project using appropriate tools for decision making. For an applied project, Phase 4 is the place for student to reflect upon what they have done. Their discussion should also answer the questions: Does it, what they have produced, satisfy the objectives that the students had at the outset? What might they do differently if they were to develop the project again? If students have recommendations for improvements or additional work that could be done, they should discuss them here.

Use the following headings:

4.1 Research Findings: Detail findings, discussions and evaluation of data.

4.2 Contribution of this Project: With reference to the problem/project statement in Phase 1, to what extent did student achieve the objective? Discuss in detail the results obtained from the survey.

4.3 Limitations: What external factors may have impinged upon students' ability to fully achieve the objective?

4.4 Recommendations for Further Development within the organization: Describe future steps to take to improve upon this project or similar future projects.

5.0 PHASE FIVE - CONCLUSION AND LESSONS LEARNED

5.1 Give a summary of overall result of the project in one paragraph. Additionally, in the same paragraph
students must answer the following questions:
- What are the findings of the research projects?
- Are there any challenges faced by student during the whole course of completing the project? Give comments and views.
- Does the conclusion correlate with the discussion on the previous Phases?

5.2 In next paragraph students will discuss about their lessons learned through-out the process of completing the internship and research project. This should answer the following questions:-
- Does student receive support from company, internally?
- Does student receive support and cooperation from stakeholders, externally?
- Does student receive support from academic advisor/assistant?
- What did student learn from this experience of writing an academic paper?
- What worked well or what didn't work so well?
- What can be done better in the research process?
