Internal stakeholders such as hospital administration

Internal stakeholders such as hospital administration within the facility are important when implementing a successful evidenced-based change proposal for several reasons.

One of the most crucial roles they play is assisting in the understanding of the necessary project details and financial planning that will be required for the change to be initiated.

Finance is necessary in my project to ensure details such as proper staffing and mobility equipment are available to the unit. Stakeholders assist in providing these necessary resources that are required to successfully accomplish the project.

Internal stakeholders such as nurse leadership and management are necessary as they assist the unit in providing training and support for the project's implementation and success.

I would go about securing their support by first holding meetings to propose my evidence-based practice proposal. I would ensure that all details such as an estimate of costs and equipment are clearly outlined.

I would present the benefits found in my research not only to the patients and their outcomes, but also the staggering costs saved to the facility with decreased patient length of stay in the hospital and critical care setting.

I would also place a strong emphasis (backed by my research) on the specific complications that are decreased with early-mobility so stakeholders will have a clear understanding of the benefits of initiating the project.
