Expanding the Ways That We Can Learn and Teach Asian American Studies: A Self-Exploration

I wrote this essay ten years ago. At that time, the three sets of ideas influencing my ideas about learning and teaching came from Freedom Schooling, Lev Vygotsky, and what I call “anti-colonial mentoring.” During the past ten years, my ideas about learning and teaching have continued to change, mainly through insights from quantum theory. I realized that for most of the twentieth century models for learning and teaching were strongly influenced by concepts from “Newtonian” physics. However, insights from quantum theory provide a different approach to learning and teaching that is related to Freedom Schooling, Lev Vygotsky’s ideas, and “anti-colonial mentoring.” Write a well-organized essay of at least six pages answering the following questions:
