Often, all the criteria you have discussed play a role in trying to find a solution to a problem and often you have to weight opposing values. For example, should the benefit to human and ecological health outweigh the potential economic harm a policy might impose?

• For this Discussion topic, please discuss a current environmental policy issue that has opposing values. In your answer, please discuss how you believe the opposing values should be weighed and who has these opposing values. Lastly, state who should ultimately have the final say in if a policy is implemented and who should be held accountable if a policy fails.
