In the density determination of aluminum a student

Problem- In the density determination of aluminum a student mistakenly recorded the volume of each piece of aluminum as 2 mL greater than its actual value ( 6 mL instead of 4 mL, 8 mL instead of 6 mL). If each volume readings is the only error in this deternination can the graph of the mass vs. volume still be used to determine aluminum's density? Why or why not?
